Presented here is a selection of brochures and datasheets concerning lamp components and raw materials, which illustrates the impressive degree of vertical integration attained by the world's light source manufacturers. Not only did these companies mass produce electric lamps, develop the technologies on which they rely and build the necessary production machines, they also took full control of the supply chain and manufactured the vast majority of their own raw materials in-house. In many cases even the catalogues and brochures illustrated below were produced by the internal printing shops of the lamp manufacturers.
